This role involves going into local schools to deliver workshops to young people in year groups 8-12 around sexual harassment and consent. The sessions we deliver cover topics on Sexual Harassment, Victim Blaming, the Body’s Response to Threat and Bystander Intervention.

Skills and Qualifications

Any relevant experience working with children is preferential but not essential.

Time Commitment

We ask that volunteers commit to at least three workshops per school term time.

At STARS we believe training is a key part of our commitment to you as a volunteer. As a Schools Workshop Facilitator Volunteer you will be given training on any tasks you are asked to complete. You will also be invited to join other in-house training. Whilst this is not vital to your role it is an opportunity for you to gain further knowledge about the way we deliver services to clients and, we hope, enhance your volunteer experience.

Additional Information

All our Schools Workshop Facilitator Volunteers will be asked to provide two references at application and be subject to a standard DBS check.
