STARS is a pan-Dorset charity that offers one to one support, free of charge, for anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Service

STARS Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service is free and confidential. It provides practical and emotional support, information and guidance to anyone who lives, works or studies in Dorset and who has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life.

Children and Young People Service

At STARS we provide a dedicated counselling and a specialist Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service for Children and Young People in Dorset who have experienced sexual violence. All our Children and Young People's ISVAs and counsellors have been specifically trained to work with children.

Helpline Service

STARS Helpline service provides a confidential, non-judgemental listening service to anyone over 16 who has been affected by any form of sexual violence. Our Helpline number is 01202 308855. All our helpline volunteers are fully trained and will listen in complete confidence no matter how big or small a problem may seem.

  • Sky Diving Team raises £4500 for the charity

    Our sky diving team raised £4500! The brave group of supporters took to the skies at Go Sky Dive in Salisbury and each one bravely jumped from 10,000ft and helped raise the fantastic total. The team, made up of the charity’s volunteers, counsellors, employees and those who have seen the great work the charity does, each had their own reasons for bravely jumping and the charity is hugely grateful.
