STARS is a pan-Dorset charity that offers one to one support, free of charge, for anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life.
STARS Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service is free and confidential. It provides practical and emotional support, information and guidance to anyone who lives, works or studies in Dorset and who has experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their life.
STARS Counselling service provides one to one, trauma informed counselling, free of charge, for anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has experienced any form of sexual violence at anytime in their life.
At STARS we provide a dedicated counselling and a specialist Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service for Children and Young People in Dorset who have experienced sexual violence. All our Children and Young People's ISVAs and counsellors have been specifically trained to work with children.
Our Telephone Support Line number is 01202 308855. The Support Line provides listening support to anyone who has been affected by sexual trauma.
Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services (STARS Dorset) has been awarded a seven year contract to continue to provide its much needed Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service across the county. Read more

STARS Dorset has received funding from both BBC Children in Need and the National Lottery to expand its services in order to help support both children and adults who have been affected by domestic abuse. Read more
A series of three attachment webinars by attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and writer, Linda Cundy. The lectures will take place virtually across three mornings, 16th March, 13th April and 20th April and cover an Overview of Classical Attachment Theory, the impact of trauma and working with Ambivalent Attachment and the impact of trauma and working with Avoidant Attachment.
